Recent graduate Jonathan Veale '25, visual arts, is no stranger to using his camera to tell a story. But his URA project required him to take a step to the forefront. "It was a challenging process that stretched the limits of my experiences at UMBC. This project pushed me to do a lot of things that I was not particularly comfortable doing. I am used to being the man holding the camera, so being thrust into a position of complete control and basically being a producer and director at the same time was challenging yet exciting." With a foundation built in high school at the Baltimore School for the Arts, Veale used his time at UMBC to hone his photography and video skills.
