Coney Island Mermaid Parade 🧜‍♀️ The MermaidParade is such a unique New York City free event and it’s happening this Saturday (June 21)! The Mermaid Parade is the largest art parade in the United States and has been a coneyislandfun Island staple since 1983. It’s free to attend and truly so much fun You get to see so many incredible mermaid costumes and people travel from all ove the country to attend this parade. There is live music, costumes, bands, community groups and more. The Parade starts at 1pm, rain or shine, on West 21st and Surf Avenue. It rolls east to West 10th Street. After the parade at 4pm, there’s a procession to the beach, and the ocean will be officially opened for the summer swimming season.
