Stars vs Avalanche. - I typically shoot games with a 70-200mm f/2.8. It’s always just been the perfect focal length for the game. However this week I wanted to test out the newish Nikon 135mm f/1.8 Plena. I shot the entire game with that lens at 1.8 to test it out, and honestly I am@blown away by it. The lens nailed focus probably 90% of the time and is beautifully sharp. The only drawback of doing this was obviously being limited by the lack of focal range that you would normally have in the 70-200. Not something I’d use in a playoff game, but damn this lens is sexy.
