Finally had a moment to go back through my hockey photos from the end of the WHL regular season and the Spokane Chiefs’ run to the WHL Championship. This was my first time shooting hockey since covering the SEC Hockey Championships in Nashville back in 2018, about a year after I first picked up a camera. It’s always exciting to see growth in your work… not just compared to 7 years ago, but even from my first games this season to the championship game. Hockey has always been my favorite sport, I started playing when I was 4 and I’m still lacing them up 30 years later. Getting to sit ice-level and photograph this game I love has been an incredible experience. Huge thanks to the Spokane Chiefs and Come As You Are Hockey for the opportunity to get back behind the glass and between the benches.
