🌊 Off the coast of Chile lies one of the most unique ecosystems on Earth: Salas y Gómez and Nazca Ridge, home to over 80 threatened or endangered species, including sharks, corals, seabirds, and whales. 🦈🐋 Oceana’s expeditions to this remote region over the years have gathered critical data to help us understand and protect its fragile biodiversity. And on the high seas, esmoi_ucn is leading exploration efforts with expeditions carried out in 2024. 🌍 That's why OceanaChile is part of the global Coral Reefs of the High Seas Coalition, and together we support the call for Chile to permanently protect this unique area.
