Dominating the draw and coming back from a 3-0 deficit, No. 1-seed Pleasantville did what would have been thought impossible probably only a year ago. The Panthers defeated longtime powerhouse and defending champion Bronxville for the Section 1 Class D girls lacrosse championship. The girls lacrosse championship was the first in school history for Pleasantville. Junior Ella Collins scored a game-high six goals for Pleasantville, most coming with her cutting down the middle, taking a feed and burying her shot. On the other end of the field, Panthers keeper Ava Berkowitz came up huge with 11 saves.
