The exhibit inside the Lighthouse tower gives guests facts about the two lighthouses in St. Augustine. The first was a wooden watchtower which became a 70 ft tall coquina structure that was made an official lighthouse in 1824 by the United States government. It fell into the ocean by 1880. The second and current lighthouse was built from 1871-1874 and stands at 165 ft tall. Museum hours are 9 AM-6 PM seven days a week.
