The Miners win! ⛏️ In a much-anticipated battle between the frontier_league’s top two teams, Sussex County won the first game convincingly, shutting out the capitalesquebec, 6-0, on Drone Show Night and Murder Mystery Night at skylandsstadium. The Capitales had lost only one road game all season. Third baseman Sean Roby Jr. put the Miners on the board first with a two-run blast in the opening frame. Sussex County plated a run in the fifth and three more in the eighth. Second baseman Hunter D’Amato (hunter_damato) went 3-4, and first baseman Mahki Backstrom (cmcthagreat) drove in three. Rob Hensey (3-1) pitched six innings of shutout ball for his third win, allowing a trio of hits and walks while fanning four. Billy Parsons (billypars0ns) recorded a nine-out save, allowing no runs and striking out a pair.
