MagicBlock is a real-time execution engine designed to extend the performance of the Solana blockchain for fully onchain games and applications. A real-time execution engine processes transactions and updates with very low delay, helping applications respond instantly to user actions. The platform introduces ephemeral rollups (a custom runtime environment that allows for ultra-low latency transactions, horizontal scaling, and minimal or zero fees) while maintaining compatibility with Solana’s core features and composability. According to a press release from April 2025, MagicBlock raised a $7.5M Seed round led by Lightspeed Faction, with participation from Maven11, Delphi Digital, Robot Ventures, Mechanism Capital, and others.
