Miden is a zero-knowledge (ZK) blockchain project that moves transaction execution and data storage to the edge - meaning users’ own devices - so they can prove their transactions locally instead of relying on the network. This architectural approach is intended to address core limitations in scalability, privacy, and composability that challenge traditional blockchains. According to Miden’s website, the project is currently in its Alpha Testnet v07 phase (as of May 20, 2025), with early developer access supported through the Miden Pioneer Program.
