Every child’s injury story and path to recovery is different, and Dr. Shannon Scratch, senior clinician scientist and clinical neuropsychologist at the Bloorview Research Institute, believes in embracing this complexity.
“We try to understand the different aspects of people’s lives that make them who they are. It’s okay to be complicated. Being complex is what makes us human," says Dr. Scratch, Assistant Professor, Rehabilitation Science Institute, University of Toronto.
