Congratulations to former #Socceroo and cap number #223, Jimmy Rooney, who has been named in the annual King's Birthday Honours List, awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his outstanding service to football. Rooney, a key member of the 1974 FIFA World Cup squad, accumulated 102 appearances for the Socceroos between 1971 and 1980 with 57 of them arriving in ‘A’ internationals.
