📢 Changes to Championship Event Structures Announced
Swimming NSW has made updates to age group eligibility and event scheduling across our Junior and Senior Championships.
🚨 Key changes include:
13-year-olds will no longer compete at the Senior Metropolitan Championships (Long Course) or the Senior State Age Championships (Short Course). Instead, they will now participate in the Youth State Age Championships (Short Course) and Youth Metropolitan Championships (Long Course).
12-year-olds will also be moved from the Senior State Age Championships (Long Course) to the Youth State Age Championships (Long Course) *Only 12 year olds that turn 13 between Senior State Age (LC) and Youth State Age (LC) are eligible to swim at Senior State Age (LC) in the combined 12/13 year age group.
