Class of 2025 graduate Perrin Coons is committed to Texas State University in San Marcos. Coons plans on majoring in business management and finance. “I decided to major in it because I want to work for my dad’s company in the future,” Coons said. Coons wanted to stay close to home and be with her best friend Isley. “McCallum has prepared me for the future by encouraging creativity and independence,” Coons said, “It challenged me to step out of my comfort zone, which helped me to grow to be more confident.” Coons favorite thing about McCallum was its sense of community. “It always felt like a place where everyone could find their people,” Coons said. Coons is excited to continue her journey at Texas State; she looks forward to meeting new people, creating a new community and learning new things. “Texas State stands out to me for its beautiful campus by the river and its active student life,” Coons said.
