Class of 2025 graduate Sadie Swinney will attend Vassar College this fall, to major in English with a concentration in creative writing. Being a storyteller her whole life, it was almost a no-brainer for senior Sadie Swinney that she would start writing at a young age. She wrote her first novel at the age of 13, and once she got to high school, delved into a full novel that she has been working on since freshman year, and saw herself making a career out of writing.
She always knew she wanted to go to a small liberal arts college, but didn’t know she specifically wanted to go to Vassar until she went up and toured it and saw all the school had to offer her.
“It focuses a lot on diversity and making education accessible to underrepresented communities, which is really important to me,” Swinney said. “I am excited to be part of a community that is really passionate to be there.”
