Class of 2025 graduate Helen Rogers plans to attend Texas State University this fall, to major in health science. Rogers was unsure about Texas State at first, but after touring the campus, she became convinced it was right for her. “Once I toured the campus, I fell in love with it,” Rogers said. “Texas State’s campus is beautiful, and exactly what I imagined college to look like.” Rogers plans to major in health sciences and then attend medical school to become either a physical therapist or an occupational therapist. Volunteering with Camp Summit, a camp specifically for people with disabilities, played a big role in this decision for Rogers, as she discovered a passion for helping others. “Volunteering for this camp has opened my eyes to how rewarding it is to give back and improve people’s quality of life, which is what physical therapy is all about,” Rogers said.
