Class of 2025 graduate Leo Bueche will be attending ACC in the fall for linguistics, and then plans on transferring to UT. Bueche was surrounded by multiple languages from a young age, and it was through this early experience and his middle school classes that he discovered what he wanted to do.
“I was always interested in learning languages and definitely wanted to go into something to do with languages, so I chose linguistics since it’s the study of languages as a whole,” Bueche said. “I grew up exposed to it, I spoke Spanish in my house, and my mom spoke multiple languages, so I decided to try taking French in middle school alongside Spanish to see if it was interesting and quickly realized my passion.”
For Bueche, McCallum helped to create more opportunities, which helped him to pursue his passion for languages.
