You are looking at the Knight football players who took third place in the Lineman Challenge Saturday in San Marcos. With that result, these linemen qualified for the state Lineman Challenge on June 21 on the campus of Hardin Simmons University in Abilene. You might wonder how linemen compete with other linemen when there are no quarterbacks to sack or protect or running backs to block for or tackle for a loss. In order to compete, the linemen demonstrated strength and skill in these categories of competition: Tire Flip, Farmers Carry, Power-Wheel Push, Obstacle Course, Bench Press and Bobsled Relay.
