Class of 2025 graduate Miguel Santana Cruz plans to attend Austin Community College this fall. After earning his Associates degree, he plans to transfer to a four-year university to major in film and  minor in English. “From a young age, I’ve held a deep passion for writing and storytelling,” Santana Cruz said. “It’s something that has always been a part of who I am.” While he has always loved storytelling, McCallum helped him realize his passion for this in the form of film. “At McCallum, I joined the film club, and that experience opened my eyes to the fascinating world of directing. I learned so much about the craft and the collaborative spirit of filmmaking,” he said. “As I look to the future, I’m excited about the possibility of taking classes in film, TV/media and writing at ACC next year.
