Class of 2025 graduate Ella Piston will be attending Bryn Mawr College this fall, majoring in Biochemistry. She wanted to have a more secluded campus, something a larger school wouldn’t be able to provide her with.  “I wanted a small, close-knit learning environment with teachers who I can really connect with, and get to know,” Piston said. “That way, they can help me for future job internships or research.” Piston was accepted into both of her dream schools, Bryn Marr and the University of Texas, and faced the difficult decision of which one to attend.  “Although UT is a great school, I was trying to get out of Texas,” Piston said. ”I lived here my whole life and I wanted to establish a new pathway to find myself a little bit more, and I liked the opportunities of being able to get a master’s in four years, which I have at Brynn Mawr.” Throughout her time at McCallum, Piston has found various ways to impact her community, as she played such a large role in the fine arts program, a...
