Class of 2025 graduate Jane Ahlquist will be attending the University of California at Davis, majoring in molecular and medical microbiology with hopes of transferring into human biology. Ahlquist was first introduced to UC Davis as an underclassman during a campus visit with her older sibling, and was drawn in by the university’s natural beauty. “When I was 14, my older sibling toured Davis,” Ahlquist said. “It is so beautiful and green; it just feels so peaceful and refreshing.” Although Ahlquist had always planned on attending college out of state, UC Davis was not her original choice. “I knew I wanted to go out of state, but I always thought it was gonna be East Coast,” Ahlquist said. “When I got into Davis, I had to rethink everything.
