FINDING HER NEW PATH: Katherine Emerson stands with one of her favorite classes during their last class together in the 2025 school year. After finishing her second year as a Knight, Ms. Emerson is ready for the next step. “I have loved being a teacher,” Emerson said, “but I am going to go back to school, to get my license to be a therapist.” Even though she loves the family of McCallum, her new job will allow her to fufill her own goals “I want to be able to work from home and start a family.” She is motivated by working with and helping others, which she has loved doing as a freshman English teacher. “I think I loved the students of Mac most of all,” she said. “ Even though she is moving on, McCallum will always hold a special place in her memory. “This class in particular has been so so goofy and silly.
