GOING FOR GOLD: What the participants called the McCallum Knight Olympics took place on Tuesday May 20 and Thursday May 22. The Olympics pitted fourth-period girls sports class members against each other in multiple competitions, including dodgeball, tug-of-war, weight lifting, hula hooping, running and more. All fourth-period girls sports students took place in the Olympics. The competitors included soccer, basketball, volleyball and softball players. For sophomore Lujain Al Hallaq, a member of the girls basketball team, the Olympics helped her bond with people in other sports. “I really enjoyed getting to know people from other sports”, Al Hallaq said, “I never really get to see my friends in other sports, so it was really cool to spend some time and get to know them better”. Al Hallaq was a member of the “Skibidi Slay Sisterhood team,” who showed their strengths in many events.
