A decade of perfecting their compelling, emotional, neon-stained sound has led them to the very top of the Avalanche Stage billing at the first time of asking at Download, and thousands have assembled to share in such a prominent notch in their belt. And share in it they do. The spine-tingling heartbreak of ‘Burial Plot’ and arena-ready pomp of ‘Without Me’ receive the most thunderous of sing-alongs, whilst the breakdowns that live within ‘Pale Moonlight’ and ‘Crooked Soul’ hit all the harder in such surroundings, resulting in some serious neck-snapping.
