Brian Wilson, a two-time Grammy winner known as the bandleader of the Beach Boys who quarterbacked iconic albums such as "Pet Sounds," has died at age 82, according to his family. "We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away. We are at a loss for words right now," Wilson's relatives posted on his official website. Wilson was known for adopting and furthering the "wall of sound" recording style made famous by Phil Spector, which can be heard on the Pet Sounds tracks such as "God Only Knows" and of course, "Good Vibrations." Rolling Stone ranks "Pet Sounds" second on their list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, behind only Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On." Wilson formed the Pendletones as a teenager with brothers Dennis and Carl, cousin Mike Love and friend Al Jardine. Upon release of their first single, "Surfin," they learned the record label had changed their name to the Beach Boys. #BrianWilson #music #BeachBoys
