Authorities in New Castle County, #Delaware, said a 3-year-old girl, who was the subject of an #AmberAlert, is dead after her mother falsely reported her kidnapping. Police originally said that the child, identified as Nola Dinkins, was abducted at gunpoint Tuesday evening by a man in Newark. Her mother told investigators she pulled over to calm down the toddler when they were approached by a stranger with a gun who took the child before driving away in an SUV. In an update Wednesday morning, police told CBS News Philadelphia that the case is now considered a homicide, and the child is dead.
