It’s a family affair! 🐾 Father-daughter duo, Jon and Ari Wilks, visits the San Quentin Rehabilitation Center with Ivory and retired breeder, turned #therapydog, Dawn. Jon shares that Ivory has light brown eyes that captivate you immediately. He explains, “One incarcerated individual was so captivated by Ivory that he asked if he could paint her. He was given painting supplies, and I was permitted to provide him with photos of Ivory to take back to his cell. He created a large portrait of her, which still hangs in his cell, bringing him immense joy and a sense of fulfillment.” Ari and Ivory not only take their time connecting with with individuals who are incarcerated there; they also spend time with #family members visiting their loved ones in prison, bringing extra special comfort and opportunities to create memories together. “A family member who adores Dawn was in tears.
