It’s no secret that running 200 miles is HARD — and we are so proud of everyone who even attempted the Tahoe 200.
From fatigue to snow-covered trails to Tahoe lung (coughing that comes from the dry, dusty, pollen-filled air; lots of Mucinex gets passed around), it’s rough out there, and especially so for people who aren’t used to high elevations (the lowest point of the race in Tahoe City sits at 6,240 feet, while the highest is Freel Pass at 9,743 feet).
Sometimes, the best decision is to DNF. More often than not, it’s the responsible thing to do. No matter what the race looked like for you, we’re incredibly proud!!
