The city of Los Angeles has become the center stage in the last week over the Trump administration’s mass deportation plan. On Friday, June 6, anti-deportation protests began following ICE raids in L.A. communities that resulted in dozens of people being detained. President Donald Trump later ordered the National Guard and Marines to Los Angeles to confront the protesters. California Gov. Gavin Newsom blamed Trump for the protests escalating into violent encounters due to the presence of military force. California’s Attorney General has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration. Protest are continuing Wednesday, June 11, in Los Angeles.
