The crash happened just after 4:30 p.m. June 15 on Alabama 5 near the 80-mile marker, about 7 miles north of Centerville. James C. Hosmer, 34, was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was operating collided head-on with a pickup. Hosmer was pronounced dead at the scene.
