As school lets out and temperatures rise, we know a lot of folks, like us, have the beach on their mind! If you're looking to make a trip down south this summer, you're spoiled for choice with great beaches all along Georgia's coast. Hands down, one of our favorites has to be Jekyll Island.
Jekyll is one of Georgia's barrier islands and offers miles of scenic coastline. The sandy beaches are great for a day out in the sun, but Jekyll's most famous beaches are a little different. Driftwood beach is a very unique area where the tides bring tons of driftwood onto the shores, creating some rather impressive natural sculptures. These driftwood formations are always unique and changing with the tide. We've visited several times and it always looks different from the last.
