Queen of Queen’s 👑
World No. 86 Tatjana Maria completed a remarkable week of surprise victories on Sunday, beating Amanda Anisimova 6-3, 6-4 to become the first women’s champion at Queen’s Club in 52 years.
At 37 years old, the German qualifier is the oldest WTA 500 champion in history, and the oldest singles champion on the WTA Tour since Serena Williams won the 2020 Auckland title at the age of 38.
The mother-of-two has now beaten four top-15 players in five days, including former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina and reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys.
