In response to recent immigration raids and ensuing protests in Los Angeles, Angel City FC took a stand during Saturday night’s home match against North Carolina. Following a joint statement from the NWSLPA and WNBPA, the club distributed 10,000 T-shirts bearing the message “Immigrant City Football Club” on the front and “Los Angeles is for everyone / Los Ángeles es para todos” on the back.

The statement comes as President Donald Trump’s administration ramps up efforts to carry out mass deportations, deploying ICE officers to detain individuals in major cities, including Los Angeles, where tensions have escalated and protests have erupted.

The shirts were handed out to fans and supporters as they entered BMO Stadium, with several Angel City FC players wearing them during arrivals. Newly appointed head coach Alexander Straus, along with the rest of the technical staff and bench players, also wore the shirts in a unified show of support.
