Tigers in the global field 🔎🌱 This summer, students in the Costa Rican Ecology study abroad program are exploring the diversity of Costa Rica’s ecoregions. Through wildlife surveys, ecological data collection, and the study of local flora, fauna, and cultural elements, they’re gaining firsthand experience in regions ranging from sea-level rainforests to high-elevation cloud forests. Led by D. R. Semmes School of Science Dean David Ribble ’82, environmental studies program director Gregory Hazleton, and teaching assistant Timandra Rowan ’26, this unique opportunity allows students to gain global research experience while also receiving class credit.
