We were honored (by coincidence!) to have former Murray State head coach and past player, raise the team flag on the historic Rosenblatt flagpoles for their first appearance in Omaha! 🏳️ 💙 @racersbaseball It was divine timing when Mike and Suzzie Thieke walked by and enthusiastically offered to help raise Murray State’s flag for the first time in Omaha. What we didn’t know was their story. Mike was a previous head head coach of the Racer baseball program from 1993-03, where he led the team to its third tournament appearance in his final year. Pictured in the video, he was also a former player in 1973-74, with his wife wearing his old jersey. We’re grateful we could create such a special moment for the Thiekes and wish all Racer fans a fantastic time in Omaha!🐎 #omahabaseballvillage | #cws #omaha #collegebaseball #murraystate #racersbaseball #mcws
