Pittsburgh’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure says it has considered stakeholder input — even if much of it is very negative — for a plan to “rightsize” a section of Penn Avenue in the Strip District. But those stakeholders say it’s not nearly enough. In an update earlier this week, the agency said it met with local businesses and others to address a slew of criticisms with the initial project description, which will change one of Penn Avenue’s two inbound lanes of traffic into a single lane with a bike lane between the 31st Street Bridge and 22nd Street, right before the main Strip business district begins.
