“Awesome-sauce.”
That’s how one of our newest volunteers describes his experience at TCAA — and we agree.
In just one month, he’s already given 56 hours of his time in our food pantry.
Why? Because he’s been there.
“I’ve received help from food banks before. Now I want to give back.”
Volunteering helps him stay connected and fulfilled.
“I’m visually impaired and not working right now, so having something purposeful — it means a lot. This gives me community.”
He also gave a big shoutout to our volunteer coordinator, Bella:
“She’s so helpful and accommodating. She makes it easy to show up and help.”
And when asked what he’d say to others thinking about volunteering?
“It’s a great organization. I’ve seen nothing but positive here. I’d recommend it to anybody.”
