Training isn’t always picture-perfect—and today was a reminder of that. On Day 2 of our Canine Good Citizen course, we tackled test item #10: Supervised Separation for a part of our training today. Sounds simple, but for a dog with big feelings like Tux, it’s anything but easy. There was barking, whining, pacing, and a whole lot of drama. That’s just part of the process. Growth doesn’t come from avoiding the hard stuff; it comes from working through it, one rep at a time. We’re not aiming for perfection. We’re building trust, resilience, and communication.
