The U.S. Marshals have arrested Darriana Burton, who they say is the girlfriend of escaped inmate Derrick Groves, in connection with the ongoing manhunt. Officials confirm Burton is a former Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office employee -- and in 2024, she was allegedly caught bringing contraband into the jail. She now faces a felony charge for conspiracy to commit simple escape. Groves remains on the run. He and Antoine Massey escaped the Orleans Justice Center in May.
