Happy International Women’s Day from converse_sg and I! 💜🤍💚 “Equality is giving everyone a shoe. Equity is giving everyone a shoe that fits.” The theme for this year’s IWD is #EmbraceEquity and I find this really relatable because it talks about equity, something that we need to see more of in our world. Equity means giving everyone what they need to be successful. This perfectly sums up what equity means, “If we give everyone the exact same thing, expecting that will make people equal, it assumes that everyone started out in the same place - and this can be vastly inaccurate because 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞.” I’m proud to be part of Converse’s movement “Create Next” where it’s all about breaking the mold, celebrating diversity and individuality, accepting differences and creating now, creating next.  #ConverseSG 📷: marcus_cchow
