Leatherneck 🪖 The Naval Academy is known for commissioning both usnavy and Marine Corps officers who are highly skilled and physically fit. To become a commissioned marines officer from USNA, mids must complete rigorous summer training known as Leatherneck. During this month at mcbquantico, VA, they are tested through various evaluations such as the physical and combat fitness tests, land navigation, the leadership reaction course, and squad attacks. The midshipmen are also exposed to various military occupational specialties that they could serve in, like infantry, cyber, aviation, and combat engineering.
