Man Rescued After Falling Through Balcony Floor in Vista Apartment Complex 619newsmedia Vista, CA – A man was rescued Monday evening after partially falling through the floor of his second-story balcony at the Vista Sun Apartment Homes, leaving him trapped up to his waist. The incident occurred around 6:52 p.m. on June 16 in the 900 block of Arcadia Avenue. Fire crews responded swiftly after receiving reports of a person trapped. Upon arrival, firefighters found an adult male whose legs had broken through the aging balcony floor. He remained lodged in place, conscious and communicating with first responders. Crews initiated a technical rescue operation and freed the man approximately 30 minutes later. He was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries believed to be minor.
