Mayor Whitmire was proud to walk in the annual Acres Homes Juneteenth Parade, a tradition that celebrates history and brings neighbors together. The streets were filled with music, marching bands, vibrant floats, and smiling faces. He had a great time shaking hands and sharing laughs with Houstonians along the route. A special highlight was seeing Ashley Turner Captain, daughter of the late Mayor and Congressman, who launched this parade 14 years ago.
