The pitching trio of Jackson Balzan, Tyler Thornton, and Tyler Luneke served plenty of doughnuts tonight to help the Miners even the series against the frontier_league’s best team. Left-hander Jackson Balzan (W, 2-3, 2.67 ERA | jbalzan2) fired six scoreless innings, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out three. Reliever Tyler Thornton (4-2, 3.81 ERA | teeethort) gave up only one hit in the seventh. Tyler Luneke (1-0, 3.55 ERA | lune_tunes11) fanned five in the final two frames to seal the shutout (pictured above).
