Today, we proudly cut the ribbon on our new Mobile Stroke Unit (MSU) in Upper Merion Township, marking a significant advancement in emergency care. This "Emergency Department on Wheels" is equipped with telemedicine capabilities, advanced brain imaging technology, and stroke treatment capabilities to deliver life-saving care faster than ever before. Patients receive immediate assessment, testing, and treatment from a stroke-trained EMS crew before arriving at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital, giving them the best chance at recovery. A huge thank you to Jefferson CEO Dr. Joseph Cacchione, Dr. Robert Rosenwasser, Leader of the Vickie & Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience, Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo and our team for joining us to celebrate this milestone. With two MSUs now in operation, Jefferson Health is officially the only health system in Pennsylvania to provide this critical resource statewide.
