Secondly for our officers is Catie! • Name: Catie Parker • Role in club: Interim Vice President • Year: Junior • Major: Classical Studies and English • Favorite hobby: Reading, writing, spending time with friends/family, and meeting new people :) • Favorite person from classical antiquity: Virgil is a person from antiquity who has always intrigued me. I’m fascinated with the intersect between English and the Classical world, and Virgil is a prime example of an author who made a pathway for writers today. Similarly, I love Ancient Philosophy, and I think there’s a great deal we can learn and incorporate into our education system today to make learning a better experience. A prime example is Socrates, whose Socratic Method of Teaching is often still incorporated in helping students learn today!
