Classes specialized in: Classicists tend to do a lot! I teach all levels of Greek and Latin language and literature (beginning through advanced), and as an ancient historian and archaeologist, I teach (and plan to teach!) a variety of courses on topics like: Introduction to Archaeology, Sword and Scroll: Violence and Cultural Exchange in Antiquity, Parties and Wars: Greece in the Classical Period, and Roman Empire. (These are all courses that are taught in English and involve no pre-requisites.) In these courses, I get to explore the full extent of my interests, which include the last 2.5 million years of human history (!) and especially ancient Greece, Rome, and the Near East.
