Today marks the summer solstice! In Sweden, it’s so much more than just a date on the calendar. It’s Midsummer: the longest day of the year, when the sun barely sets and the entire country leans into light, life & slowing down. It’s a sacred pause and cultural heartbeat that’s been pulsing for generations. I’m here with @atlasadventurestrips, and here’s how we’re celebrating. We began the day with an iconic ritual of making our own flower crowns. While it’s fun weaving flowers into wearable art, there’s also rich folklore that surrounds it. According to tradition, if you place seven different flowers under your pillow on Midsummer night, you’ll dream of your future love. Whether or not you believe in the myth, it’s fun participating in a ritual that has been passed down for centuries. Afterward, we gathered for a traditional Swedish lunch: pickled herring, new potatoes with dill… and finishing with an incredible strawberry cake. Then came the dancing!
