The #severe weather threat in the #Philadelphia region is over, but the storms left behind plenty of damage and knocked out power for thousands Thursday night across the Delaware Valley. #PECO customers were the hardest hit by Thursday's storms. On Thursday night, about 223,000 customers lost power in the Philadelphia area, a number that had improved to about 150,000 by Friday morning. "Wind gusts of up to 70 mph brought down trees, tree branches, damaged our electric equipment. We're going to work 24/7 to get everyone back on," PECO spokesperson Tom Brubaker said.
