Itโs Juneteenth โ a day to honor freedom, reflect on history, and celebrate Black culture and resilience. And here in Philadelphia, that celebration stretches across the city. โค๏ธ๐๐
๐ On June 19, the African American Museum in Philadelphia kicks off Wawa Welcome America with its annual Juneteenth Block Party โ featuring live music, local vendors, food trucks, and family-friendly fun.
๐ฅ Then on June 22, join one of the nationโs largest Juneteenth parades in West Philly, with 2,000+ participants and a full-day festival at Malcolm X Park, complete with a youth pavilion, Black-owned marketplace, and live performances.
There are also Juneteenth celebrations today at museums and historic sites around the city, including Eastern State Penitentiary, the Please Touch Museum, the Museum of the American Revolution, and the National Constitution Center.
